In the last vlog we looked at speaking with conviction, today we’re going to be looking at active listening.
Active listening, what does it mean?
I believe it’s intelligently showing that you’re listening to what is being said, what isn’t being said and the ability to read between the lines.
So why would you want to do that?
Well it’s got two advantages. It gives you more information, so more opportunity to either sell or be influential, but it also gives you the ability to show that you are listening to what is being said by the other person.
So the first thing to do is look at what is being said. There are two ways you can respond, one is by questioning and one is by responding.
So join me in my next vlog where we look at the right questions to ask somebody to show that you’re actively listening to what they’re saying, to give you more opportunity to be more influential.
